Cedar and pine classification for an expanded boundary around the Missouri Pine-Oak Woodland Restoration Project that is part of the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program. The project was developed between the Missouri Department of Conservation and USDA Forest Service. The classification used 2015 leaf-off imagery and 2016 NAIP imagery. Extreme gradient boosting with cross validation was used to classify the cedar and pine. Classifications were conducted on both image objects created by eCognition and directly on pixels. The final product is the majority of the pixel-classification that occur within the evergreen image objects.
